PMS talks FOOD

It’s almost been 10 months since PMS was born and even though most of you have come to know us as fashion loving souls, we are indeed full-blooded-no-mercy food junkies–and die hard ones at that! So the dream, hope and endless prayers of one day (hopefully soon) running some ultra kickarse food joint (possibly cum studio) in our home of KL would mean the world to us. No Joke.

No doubt that the crazy risks plus our sky high noob-idity could probably kill us for good, but our itchy backsides won’t let us sit still till we crack some heads and knuckles for the big plan.

It’ll be awesome if you guys would share some of your ideas, we’d love to hear your thoughts on:

- location! location! location!
(Where in KL/PJ do you guys think will be good to house this kickarse PMS food joint? Any takers for hidden-dingy-2nd floor-down right dogdy location, cos we like the sound of it but need to know if you guys think the same? Or is this a no-go?)

- What kind of food hits the right chord for you?
(You dig gutsy home cooked hearty food or you prefer something a little less conventional?)

- What seems like a decent price to pay for an average meal in a joint?

- What is an absolute ‘MUST’ in your ideal food joint?
(great coffee?lazy couches?good food?ambience?hot waiters? spill it)

You could hit us a mail at projectmuffstit@gmail.com if you have some crazy ideas or spill your thoughts on the comment box below! We’ll love you guys forever and promise to feed you with good food for a very long time…in true PMS styleeeeee

xx

Haha, I can see it now! Quirky interior design with missmatched thrifted furniture, bean-bags next to Ipoh-esque wood+marble chairs.

Foood hmm, I think a mix of really well done family recipes as well as some “designed” ones ala Luxirare!

I love Ji’s work, from her experimental food (her version of Eggs Benedict: http://www.luxirare.com/2009/04/birds-nest.html) to her latest, back-to-basics pasta simply cooked.

  2. zay at work says:

I think either Bangsar (the telawi area) or Damansara Uptown would be great location.

You guys should totally marry the food concept with your fashion motto – quick and chic! perhaps quick fix, like the Jamie Oliver kind. raw, australian. hmmm…

rates from RM20 to RM60 per plate is acceptable. of course, you dont price your Salad RM60 per plate =p, but sirloins, t-bones, yes.

to me, the Oh-yes-yes factor is GREAT MUSIC! I am addicted to runway music, so if that’s what you’ll be playing, i’ll be there every weekend haha!

Josh: yes exactly what we had on mind!awesome! but where to get thrifted furnitures in KL?? and ya Luxirare…she makes me feel proud to be an asian. haha, she’s crazehhh!

Zay: oh we love it raw and grunge! we were thinking of both bangsar and Uptown (and even Centrepoint & OU)too, but Bangsar’s rental is quite crazy and uptown’s parking is even crazier! and totally agree with the music haha. yeh pricing the dishes will be tricky, considering we aint fine diners. Thanks though :)

    OMG. Seriously happening ya! Finally!!

Ok ok..all of the above that josh & zay were saying are a must! the funkiness & edginess of the eatery ambiance must be created. Music, f&b & designs must play great big roles.

Locations, i was thinking DU & Centrepoint. DU has crazy problematic parking spaces but that’s a totally kewl place to open one becoz lotsa targeted youth & families are always hanging out there. As for centrepoint, parking spaces, no problem but must work on the publicity coz usually, thts where families go. But cntpoint has been polished good, no doubt.

I suggest great beverages like coffee & chocolate must be served just like the oz styles. hehe…food? gosh..im already thinking of smoke salmon served with multigrain bread! =)_ _ (*drool drool)
